To help others become like Christ is not other than what God said when he created the Man: «Let us make the man has our image according to our resemblance» (Gen 1: 26).
Our lord Jesus took again the same declaration in another manner; he said: «Go made of all the nations my disciples...» (Matt 28: 19). By this we understand clearly that God thus wants the disciples of Christ, people who resemble Christ. One is not born disciple but it is made. To help other become like Christ, they should be taught to obey all that the lord prescribe to us. The apostles knowing that, stressed much teaching. Any Christian who is not like Christ and who does not help others to become like Christ is not worthy of the lord. To help others become like Christ is a long process which takes much time, much of means and which leads us to do many sacrifices. But that is not worth anything if the Master wants us to be like him because we can all by that which strengthens us.
